Animation Beginnings
So I have been neglecting this blog lately, but I have a good reason for it! I just started my Masters program for 3D animation at the Academy of Art University. It has been keeping me very busy. I have little time to illustrate right now, as I am learning the ins and outs of animation basics. I am only a few weeks into the program, and I have been learning basic animation principles and doing some studies using traditional animation. I promise I will be posting more illustrations and sketches when I manage to squeeze some in between all of my other work.
For now, here are a couple of studies I did recently.

Father Frost Storyboard
This is a quick storyboard based on the 1964 Russian movie "Morozko" (translation: Father Frost). This is a scene that I redesigned in which the main hero of the story meets the girl that he falls in love with. (click to enlarge)
